What You Can Do
If you own an Apple device
Make sure your device is an iPhone 6s or newer and running iOS 14.5 or later. Your phone will automatically alert you if a tracker is nearby and has not communicated with its "owner" in a reasonable time (estimated to be between 8-24hrs). If you receive this alert, the app can help you locate the device by playing sounds (it has a small speaker in it).
If you own an Android device
You can download "Tracker Detect" from the Google Play Store and manually search for trackers by running a scan. Unfortunately, this does not happen automatically as it does with iOS devices, so you'll need to manually conduct these scans periodically.
Once you locate the device, remove the battery, and contact your local authorities if you don't recognize it as yours or that of someone you know. As always, stay safe and we're here if you have any questions.
