Using Telegram?
Do this: Update and patch immediately.
Why: An information-stealing malware, named FFDroider has been disguising itself on victim's machines to look like the instant messaging application "Telegram". The malware is harvesting sensitive information from compromised machines, such as keystrokes, screenshots, files, saved passwords and cookies from web browsers, that are then transmitted to a remote attacker.

Why: Researchers have found the info-stealing Android malware Sharkbot lurking in the Google Play store under the cover of anti-virus solutions.

Using WhatsApp?
Do this: Do not engage with unprovoked messages.
Why: Attackers are spoofing voice message notifications from WhatsApp in a malicious phishing campaign that uses a legitimate domain to spread an info-stealing malware.
